Welcome to Bethune Middle School, Home of the Mighty Mustangs! Where the Best and the Brightest attend, teach and serve.

LAUSD"s PIP (Parent Involvement Policy) was mailed out on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.  The District Title I Parent Involvement Policy (Attachment A) was developed jointly with and approved by parents of Title I students from representative schools across LAUSD (Attachment B), and adopted by the LAUSD Board of Education on December 11, 2012. It is reviewed by Title I parents in each Educational Service Center (ESC) annually.

Adherence to the provisions in this policy will strengthen the capacity of parents and educators to engage as equal partners to support children’s learning and achievement; will ensure full compliance with federal, state and District guidelines and mandates regarding parental involvement; and will guide school efforts to implement quality parent engagement plans.

Below you will find a link to the School Accountability Report Card.

Every school in California is required by state law to publish a School Accountability Report Card (SARC), by February 1 of each year. The SARC contains information about the condition and performance of each California public school. Under the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) all local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which describes how they intend to meet annual school-specific goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities. Additionally, data reported in an LCAP is to be consistent with data reported in the SARC. For more information about SARC requirements, see the California Department of Education (CDE) SARC Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/sa/.
